The county of Vila Pouca de Aguiar is promoting the “Come and taste…” iniciative, in the local Interactive Tourism Store, that will take place on the 4th and 5th of November with several tastings of heather and eucalyptus honey and blueberry jam.
Located next to the thermal park of Pedras Salgadas, the Interactive Tourism Store will hold several free gastronomic events, show and sales of gastronomic products in the months of November and December.
On the weekend of S. Martinho (11 and 12 November, when the XVI Gastronomic Exhibition of Vila Pouca de Aguiar will be held), there will be conserves of wild mushrooms (in port wine and chutney), chestnut honey and blackberry jam.
On November 18th and 19th, there will be several tastings of wine and blackberry jam; On November 25th and 26th, mulberry marmalade, orange honey and pumpkin jam are the flavours to be tasted; On the 2nd and 3rd of December one will be able to taste blackberry jam with cinnamon and nutmeg, blackberry jam with apple and blueberry tea; On December 9 and 10, raspberry jam, multifloral honey, marmalade will be the tasting options; and on the 16th and 17th of December, various wine, chocolate strawberry jam, rosemary honey and red curried fruit sauces tasting events will be held.
Between November and December, there are many reasons to visit Vila Pouca de Aguiar and taste the local products.
